1920s Ribbon Art - An online resource

With every passing year the internet becomes an even bigger source of all things vintage. As more and more resources are digitised and uploaded, this happy milliner gets an even bigger library of books and magazines to sift through, and many of them have lots of fantastic images too.

This week's find is part of a large website named The Antique Pattern Library. Head over there (link below) to see what else they have, but in the meantime here's a teaser from three great magazines entitled 'Ribbon Art' and originally published in 1923.

They have lots of pages devoted to the decorating of hats with ribbon, and give fairly detailed instructions on how to make complicated cockades, as well as flowers and other trims.

Lets see if it doesn't tempt you to raid your stash and test a few patterns out!
